Many of us who have a different perception of the space, sky and earth. Some argue that the sky is a ‘roof’ alias field limiting space. That is, they thought that the space above the existing boundary, our, sort of roof.
This first group, usually are those that lay about the science of Astronomy.
The second group are those who follow a wide range of information about outer space from a variety of science fiction films, or various kinds of media. In general, they understand that that meant the sky was a giant room that contains trillions of celestial objects, like the sun, the planets (including Earth), moon, stars, galaxies, and so forth. They gain a better understanding that the sky is not a boundary, but the entire space above us.
The third group are those who study astronomy more information and more details. Furthermore, they are trying to understand things related to the structure of the sky through the various theories of Astronomy. They constantly keep track of various information and try to reconstruct the structure of the sky, which is generally understood as the Universe or the Universe.
Of the three groups throughout the global understanding that the so-called sky actually is not a boundary in space there, but rather an infinitely large space containing trillions of celestial bodies. Starting from a small space rocks, a kind of satellite the moon, the planets, sun and stars, galaxies to superclusters.
Therefore, if we move up into the sky spacecraft, for example, then we will move towards the vast space. A day, week, month, year and so we move into space, then we encounter only a dark space that contains a variety of celestial objects only. Until dead, we will never find its boundary. Yes, the sky is the space is enormous. In fact, it is unknown where the edges.
Once we understand a little neighbor sky, then we will go to the branch of the study of celestial objects. Branch of science is the science of astronomy. In language, astronomy means “science of stars”. While the general definition of astronomy is a science involving the observation and explanation of events occurring outside Earth and its atmosphere. This science of studying the origins, evolution, physical and chemical properties of objects that can be seen in the sky (and beyond the Earth), is also a process that involves them.
Ordinary people often equate that astronomy is not much different from astrology. Both are not separated from celestial objects. In astrology, the study is the relationship status of constellations, planets, sun and moon against a person’s character and destiny.
While studying astronomy is not only the planets, sun, moon, stars, but also galaxies, black holes, pulsars, and much more. Astronomy study the natural physics, mathematics, including the laws of nature. The conclusion that these objects up there are celestial bodies. It’s no longer the gods or supernatural beings. Because the spectroscopy, the material making up the heavenly bodies were the same as the material, chemical elements in the earth’s surface.
Astronomy is a thinking challenge for mankind in order to always be stimulated to ask why, and how. Humans are invited to think on. For example, until when the sun will shine. So, what happens if the sun does not shine. Is there life on planets other than Earth. And so on and so forth.
