Spaceflight is not a new concept, but in the past it has been too expensive for people other than Governments to participate in. But gone are the days where spaceships cost billions of dollars and get used only once. Reusable vehicles have brought the cost of making a trip into space right down and so the saving is passed on to you.
Though the technology is brand new, the engineers and pilots have a rich history of space operations going back over 30 years. You will benefit from this experience as the first people to be launched into space in this unique way.

We want to make Space open to everyone. Currently our Spaceflight Participants must be aged at least 18 before they can fly, there is however no upper age limit. US astronaut John Glenn broke the record books and astounded doctors when he flew to space aged 77.
There are certain medical conditions which prohibit participation in a sub-orbital spaceflight. It is advised that you seek advice from your doctor before applying. If you decide to go ahead and book your Personal Spaceflight Experience your doctor will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire for review by our flight surgeon; who is more aware of the stresses placed on the body by the Spaceflight.

Your Spacecraft will take off powered by its rocket engines and will accelerate you into the sky and into space. Your specially designed seat will make this a thrilling experience as you feel the raw power of the rocket engine at your back. You can watch in wonder as blue sky turns to black and suddenly the Earth looks curved just like you were always told it was. You will see hundreds of stars that you have never seen even on the clearest night from Earth.
Un-strap from your seat and float around the cabin performing all kinds of acrobatics, but don’t miss the unique view outside. Your trip will be fully documented by our on-board cameras so you can take in the wonders with your eyes and treasure the experience forever.

We're not asking you to go up and fix the Hubble Space Telescope, but you are embarking on an extraordinary activity that your body is not accustomed to. Imagine you wanted to run a marathon but had never run one before. You would start preparing your body as soon as possible, going for short runs and over time building up the distance that your endurance could handle until the big day.
Your Spaceflight is the marathon, and you need to gradually prepare yourself for it. Our unique spaceflight preparation program is designed around this strategy. If you think you might like to take a flight one day we can get you started on your preparations right now.
Your first experience of what it will be like will be a spin around in our centrifuge; we increase your g-tolerance (kind of like your "space stamina") with further centrifuge training, a flight in a military jet and a zero-gravity parabolic flight.
This program will be custom built around your needs and your schedule, for more information click Worldview Spaceflight Preparation Program. or book now.

The technology used is inherently safe by design. During past space missions there are two moments when the ground crew would hold their breath: Take off and Re-entry.
We are not going as far or as fast, nor do we need to carry as much payload as Government funded spacecraft, so the stigma attached to the risks on take-off are dramatically reduced. We use smaller, safer engines with less volatile fuel and we do not need to burn the engines for as long. Re-entry is a simple process. Hollywood would have us believe that our spaceship will be subject to heating of a thousand degrees or more. This is true if coming in from orbit, but as we are coming in from sub-orbit, we are travelling much slower and the frictional heating is massively reduced.
We have a 3-pronged safety strategy - Safety by Design, Safety by Procedures and Safety by Training. We have an embedded Safety Culture throughout our Company, from the Directors, to the Pilots and Ground-Crew, to the Support Staff and finally to include you (the prospective Astronaut) as part of the team. All of this will ensure a successful mission.
It’s our job to make sure you come back, even though you won’t want to.

We would actually recommend not to. Obviously if you have then you should get started on your training as soon as possible. The reason we would say come to Worldview first is simply because spaceflight is not for everyone. We can assess you right now and tell you whether it is for you or not. If it’s not, don’t worry, with a bit of hard work we can put you there.
With the number of companies starting to offer spaceflights with a lot of different vehicles and flight profiles how do you know which is best for you? Come to Worldview first and throughout your training with us we will be able to assess your physical limits and capabilities and recommend the flight you will enjoy the most. And because we have links to the best operators internationally we can arrange the whole experience for you.

There are three locations at which your Spaceflight Preparation will take place.
1. Medical checks take place at Brookdale Medical Centre in Horley, Surrey – This is located very close to London, Gatwick airport making it very accessible
2. All Synthetic training takes place at the home of aeromedical research in Farnborough. This site has been the focal point of training for the RAF for the last 50 years and is now supporting the Spaceflight Preparation Program for Worldview Spaceflight to produce the first ever Astronauts in the UK.
3. Flying with the Blades takes place at Sywell Aerodrome. This is a hub for spectacular aviation activities including helicopter flights, ballooning and gliding, there is also a novelty aviation museum, hotel and restaurant.
